Last week the furry family member was the master of destruction:

* not exactly his "fault" but his collar caught on a loop of my beautiful Berber carpet and the master bedroom carpet now looks like a pair of used pantyhose...just a bit more expensive to replace.

* he used my $450 sub woofer as a chew toy (it weighs 20 lbs.). As of now, my $4000 surround sound is useless...I am praying when I take my poor sub woofer in to be repaired, that it can ACTUALLY be repaired (and for a lot less then replacing it)!!

* somehow tore down my drapes over the sliding glass door...also taking down the curtain rod including the wall anchors...the finial caused some damage to my Shari Hatchett Bohlmann painting- well to the frame. Damage to the actual artwork may have then caused death. The drywall is bulging where the anchors were ripped out...ugh

* learned how to open door KNOBS, but still doesn't have oposable thumbs...??

*still enjoys eating people food (including chocolate) AND getting it EVERYWHERE in the process!! This time he enjoyed many, many things...

* somehow peed on 3 rugs in the kitchen AND managed to pee on nearly EVERY piece of tile...after making the rounds (around and around and around the island) he stopped and pooped right in front of the pantry door...that was one of my highlights from my first week of living with a dog bigger than me.

* destroyed DESTROYED Lucy's dog door...first- it's for a 20 lb miniature beagle, not 105 lbs of brown hair, a head and some claws...he went through it a few times, leaving the "flap" intact, but after a while, he must have grown tired of fighting the flap, so he TORE it out and all the pieces needed to hang another one. But really, who needs to keep out the cold air or SPIDERS?

Love makes us do crazy things. Moving and unpacking is stressful with or without a dog, I know you'll get through it.

Good luck with the boxes they will find a home sooner or later, I promise.

WOW!! That sounds like our Rocky a chocolate lab. He loves our hot tub cover so much that he has eaten and completely DESTROYED 4 of them. There are lots of other things too!!
We sure do LOVE him- he's a sweet heart!!
